We Breed a Unique Combination of Working & Show Lines

Our purebred Long Hair German Shepherds are imported from Germany and other European countries and are bred specifically for the perfect balance of loyal companionship and workmanship. Based on the needs of the customer, some of our dogs’ temperaments lend themselves towards the perfect loyal family dog around children, while others are more suitable for working scenarios like security dogs, police dogs, search and rescue dogs, seeing eye dogs, and more. Our German Shepherds have an especially storied history of excellence in the search and rescue industry.

Your Long Hair German Shepherd Breeder

Long hair (or “long coat”) German Shepherds are the same dog as the German Shepherd dog (GSD), but with (you guessed it!) longer hair. As with a German Shepherd, Long Hair GSDs have both an undercoat and a top coat. Long Hair GSDs have a longer top coat which we think adds to the breathtaking beauty of them. Long Hair German Shepherds have extraordinary temperaments, are tremendously smart, and immensely loyal to their owners. This makes them both great family dogs or great working dogs.

Our Puppies Can Travel to You!

We are located in Council Bluffs, Iowa (close to Omaha, Nebraska), but have transportation options to safely and securely transport your new German Shepherd puppy anywhere in the United States.

Adding a puppy to your household or work force is a big decision, but we’re to help it be an easy one!

Are the puppies registered?

All our parent dogs are purebred and AKC registered. Our puppies are sent home with an AKC registration application that must be completed by the purchaser.

Are you available if I have questions after I buy a puppy?

Yes, we guarantee lifetime support of each of our puppies. We care deeply about each of our dogs puppies and are more than happy to provide support and answer questions once you bring your puppy home.

Do you have a guarantee on their health?

We guarantee the health of our breeding stock and the puppies when they are at our kennel. All our dogs are tested for Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), and temperament. Our exhaustive search for the breeding females and stud males has landed us some of the best tempered and healthiest Long Hair German Shepherds in the United States.

Is a deposit required?

Yes, a deposit is required to secure your Long Hair German Shepherd puppy. Please contact us for current prices and to make a deposit.

Can I finance my puppy purchase?

Can you ship a puppy across the United States?

Yes! Many of our customers do not live near us in Iowa, so we ship the puppies using a private courier service. This method of transportation is secure and safe for the puppies, ensuring they arrive to your location safe and sound.

What makes you the right Long Hair GSD breeder for me?

Owner Karen Davis, has been breeding and training dogs and horses for over 40 years. She has had several horses that have qualified for world shows in AQHA. The same procedures carried over to her dog breeding program and training. She loves her animals and strives to make winners out of every one of them.

Several of Karen’s puppies are in law enforcement, search and rescue, cadaver search and dogs for autistic children. Most of our dogs are imported and have a mix of show lines and working lines and Karen prides herself on the excellent choices she has made in her search for studs and breeding females. Perfect temperaments in the parents carry on to the offspring.
